To work with clay is to investigate life. Through clay I am researching the world we live in. In order to do this I mirror past moments figuratively onto clay in an attempt to understand and preserve these memories. I am concerned with scale and granularity. What is it to brush your theth? It is coterminously tivial yet it requires a whole universe. I want to candle things in life that we take for granted, and ask what happens when we become aware of them. I want to honour passing moments and exceeding/ordinary movements, give them respect by making them monumental.

Ceramics is a long lasting, close to ever lasting, material. Because of this my pots will, if the will be kept well, outlive any hard-drive or book. They will be able to tell stories about our time, in a distant future. They are time documents, telling a story of today.
